This wiki would collect text, images, and video of building and enjoying (messing about) in backyard-built boats -- simple designs, usually made in either plywood or wood strips, though other techniques would be mentioned as well. Amateur backyard boatbuilders have been posting building logs, with text and photos of the process, and photos of launching and enjoying their boats, on the Internet for many years. There are a few designers, too, who cater to this amateur boatbuilding style. They would be included.
