Wikia - creating communities

A good reason to use Wikia is that databases of all Wikia text are available for download. Please see the copyrights page on the relevant wiki for the terms under which this content may be used.

The database is available as an XML dump (this does not include private user data) which can be stored if you want an extra backup of your content, or imported into any MediaWiki installation.

To access the download, go to:

http://wikistats.wikia.com/dbdumps/database name/pages_current.xml.gz

for the current version of every page (the most recent revision for every page),

or to:

http://wikistats.wikia.com/dbdumps/database name/pages_full.xml.gz

for the complete history of every page.

Note: Database name is often the domain name of the wikia you wish to reach.

A list of all downloads can be found at dbdumps.html. This list includes details of when the last database dump was made. These are regenerated every few weeks. Please contact Wikia Staff if there is an urgent matter that requires an immediate updated copy.
